Image Chef

OK, I just finished my first ImageChef and uploaded it to my blog - this is soooooo cool. The more I learn the more I realize I don't know. Frankly, it's all about time - 15 minutes isn't look and it isn't long enough to explore and remember. Even thou we are learning about some many resources we have to REMEMBER these resources so we can use them in our libraries - -

This was a great idea and I wish everyone had taken advantage of it.

Flickr

I am not sure I am going to be a personal Flickr user but it is really working well for our library photos - the staff can post with out an update on the web site. A great tool for the web site.

Always eager to learn...

I love RSS

I heard about this more than a year ago - read the technology describes and was still clueless. I had learned that is stood for Really Simple Syndication but that was hardly an understanding and I still have no idea how it works but I understand the results and I love it. I may no know how it works but I have figured out how to make it work of me! Thanks

Only on #2

Finding 15 minutes - I related to the "smoking" comments and it is about committing to the process. I think my main negative in 2.0 is the social network tools. I use IM years ago but I have never learn the IM slang - which all the kids use in "texting". We always learn what interest us first and I will never do "texting" but I need to know how others use it. It's about learning what doesn't interest us - beyond our comfort zone. On to the next step.

I am still here...

As always there is never enough time to get everything done and I am trying to keep up with my staff, meetings, and other distractions that never seem to end. This is something I want to do and I am determined to find the time to complete the "23 things" by April 10th. If I do it my staff will understand that I view it as a priority.

GOAL: I will view blogs and post at least twice a week - I am trying to develop a habit here!
